3 Days Queen Elizabeth Safaris
Queen Elizabeth National Park has been designated a Biosphere Reserve for humanity under UNESCO auspice. The park together with Kyambura and Kigezi Wildlife reserve form one of the most diverse ecosystems in Africa . It is situated in the western arm of the Great Rift Valley and covers 1,978sq.km from semi-deciduous tropical forest to green meadows savannah and swamps.
It is the home of the famous tree climbing lions as well as the Uganda kob. The park is also home to topis, spotted hyenas, crocodiles, waterbucks, African elephants, baboons, hippos, buffalo, and 10 primate species including chimpanzees and many more. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded, making the park a paradise for bird watchers.
Early morning drive from Kampala westwards having a stopover at the equator for photographs, then Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park having lunch enroute. You will arrive at your hotel in the evening, if you drive at a steady speed convenient for tourists, leaving space for photographs. While entering the park, chances of game viewing await you and its possible to spot any of the animals such as Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes, Hyenas, warthogs, Uganda kobs and waterbucks.
An early morning game drive in this park, provides excellent opportunities to see Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Bush bucks, mongoose, warthogs, spotted hynas, as well as reptiles such as the rock python.
In the afternoon, enjoy the 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which will offer you a great opportunity foe observing wild life at a close range. On the boat safari, there are high chances of watching hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and many bird species at just a close range. Animals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing, ideal for the Uganda safari.
After a very early breakfast, have a game drive while leaving the park. You will have lunch enroute and arrive in Kampala late in the evening.
